These are all pictures from celebrations of Persian New Year with family and friends. Many of the photos depict the juxtaposition of elderly family members with the new and young generation, further showing the evolution of the human spirit. The Persian New Year is a time where people interact with all the age groups they usually would not spend time with in order to get a better understanding of the meaning of passing a year. The New Year is on the first day of Spring every year, symbolizing a new start to life with the new calendar.

This year is actually our first new year we have unfortunately not been able to spend with the man pictured in focus in the photo above. He was loved by all of our friends and family and truly a genuine and caring soul. A person like him is truly hard to come by. We are fortunate however that he was able to celebrate with us in spirit during this time of joy.
