Time

To me, TIME is one of the many comodeties in life, up there with money and food. But the difference with TIME is that TIME is something you can never get back. TIME doesn;t only dictate your life, it is your life. As the Apple comercaiil says, "Life is a play, and you will contribute a verse. What verse will you contribute." In the sceme of things, if we were to say the age of the earth is 46 years instead of 4.6 billion, our amount of time on this planet is but a mere second in comparision. What can we do to change the course if history in that second? TIME gives us the opportunity to do that, but it is up to us not to waste this precious commedity, but rather use our short breath on this earth to create a leagacy.

Question #2

I agree that photographing people in black and white takes away the distractions and truly brings out the person and their emotions as the subject. Without color, the person's clothes, background, and setting don't mask their true feelings, and their facial expressions are able to speak louder and convey the photograph to the viewer. In a nice green field, a smile may just seem like... well a smile, comprising of mere happiness at the subject's state of being. However, when the color is taken away, the view may be able to pick up on minor details about the person's smile, possibly that they are not truly happy but just putting on a mask. The lack of color takes away the emotions from the environment of the image and allows the face to speak for itself without the message to the viewer being altered by the apparently happy or sad surroundings.
